How many students have been cyberbullied by other students at school or outside of school? During the 1970's, bullying was different from today. In the past, students that were victims of bullying could not escape from their bullies, because they were being followed from school to their homes. When they got to their homes, they felt safe, because there were not bullied anymore. Today, it is very different. Bullies now use a new method which is the technology to bully their victims every single day with nonstop behavior. They use electronic devices such as cellphones, computers, and tablets. By using these type of devices, students can communicate via social media, text messages, and chat to cyberbully students. Students who commit cyberbullying should be suspended from school because they mentally destroy students' minds, cause them to be isolated, and can cause them to commit suicide.
Students who commit cyberbullying should be suspended from school, because they mentally destroy students minds. Bullies do not understand what can cause to another student. They want to bully someone else, because they feel inferior. They want to feel that they have the power to control someone. One example is making rumors about someone that are not true. From there, they start calling them names such as, chicken, four eyes, ugly, and many other names that are inappropriate that affects the victim negatively. According to the website (www.americaspcc.org/bullying), students that are bullied might have problems at school and with their families because they are being bullied 24/7 by by bullies that use their cellphones, Facebook, or other types of websites or devices to cyberbully them.
Secondly, bullies should be suspended from school, because they make fun of every student and even friends from the victims. They post funny things about them on the internet so everyone from school and outside of school can see it. These cause each student that is victim of cyberbullying to be isolated and not be able to trust anyone. According to the website (www.stopbullying.gov), the signs of a student that is isolated are sudden loss of friends, avoidance of social situations, feelings of helplessness, and difficulty sleeping. Teachers and parents should be informed about these effects in students. If parents see their child with any of these behaviors, they have to help them right away before it gets worse.
The third problem is when bullies cyberbully their victims that it may lead to make them to get ti the point of thinking about suicide. These innocent teenagers feel that it is the only way to avoid cyberbullying. According to the website (www.afsp.org), many students that are victims of cyberbullying will try to commit suicide, because they are feeling depression, and loss of interest in life; also they feel completely pressured by their peers. Victims of bullying are two to nine times more likely to consider committing suicide. Those students that are bullying other students should be suspended and sent to a psychologist until they no longer bully students at their schools. Also the parents of those students should be sent to a psychologist, because most of the time students see their parents arguing or fighting all the time, The don't show their children the love that they need, because they are busy arguing and fighting. The most important this is they do not spend time with their children. They are too busy with their work of things they have to get done before it is late.
Cyberbullying has been causing teenagers to isolate and be depressed. When a person is feeling depress, it can cause teenagers to think about suicide. Adults, teachers, and parents can stop this problem. They can stop cyberbullying by having more communication with the students. If someone sees a teenager sad or lonely and is victim of cyberbullying, do not stay there and be quite. Speak up for those innocent teenagers, because they don't want to to be in that nightmare. We can make the change by knowing the bullies that are making the student's lives not worth it. We can make the change; we can stop cyberbullying.
